The Caiquén, a wild goose from Patagonia, symbolizes the journey that defies borders and the established as it crosses the imposing Andes Mountains, between Argentina and Chile. On this same path of exploration and improvement, Aurelio Montes arrived in Argentine lands in the year 2000. With each trip, he discovered the generosity of its vineyards and the incandescent passion of its people. By 2001, certainty prevailed: Mendoza was the perfect setting to give life to Kaiken. The winery was built in 1920 by Italo Calise. In those first years, in addition to wine, olive oil, distillates and tartaric acid were produced. Today, the winery meets the highest quality standards demanded by contemporary oenology and has the capacity to produce 7 million liters distributed in tanks of between 12,000 and 30,000 liters for fermentation, ideal for small batches of the highest quality, tanks of 100,000 liters for storage and concrete tanks.
